LIGHTS

We got invited by G&G to go to Brick Oven Pizza and a BYU basketball game a couple of weeks ago and the kids were so excited. The game was against Utah State but one of the players collapsed so they cancelled the whole game, so needless to say we had some bummed kids. We still went to Brick Oven then G&G treated us to Thanksgiving Point lights. We usually wait until the last week to go and the lines like 2 hours long but this time we pulled right up and went in.
They even got to sit up front
Had to stop and see the reindeers

TEMPLE SQUARE

Last week Deb planned a fun night down to Temple Square. We met at Bob's work, who works at Chanel 2 and he gave us the tour of his work. (I love this kind of stuff) We watched them do the news live and then the kids went to the window and got on T.V. for 2 seconds but they thought it was the coolest thing ever. Then we waked up to Temple Square it was such a beautiful warm night. My poor kids were in thermals, 2 layers of socks. I brought gloves, beanies, coats and clearly we did not need any of these things, so I got stuck carrying them all. After that we headed over to City Creek to grab some dinner at the food courts. As we were walking back to the cars out walks Mark Kobel (local news achor) so of course Bob grabs him and tells him how bad I want a picture with him. To me he is pretty famous and pretty good looking:) Thanks for the fun night and this will have to become a yearly tradition.

GOBBLE...GOBBLE

We headed down to St. George this year again for Thanksgiving. It was once again a great time. With Turkey Bowl in the morning, then home to a delicious meal and to give thanks for all that we are blessed with, then our annual BINGO game. Friday the boys went RAZOR riding all day while the girls shopped and then that night we hit up Tuacahn for the lights and to see the Jolly old Man himself. Saturday was more shopping, razor riding and helping my Mom put up christmas then that night my Mom watched the kids so that Quinn and I could go on a date. Sunday was the dreaded ride home which consisted of all the other 1,000's of people trying to get home. I can't believe I got no other pictures besides Tuacahn, but good...good times!!
I have so much to be thankful for at this time of year

ROUND 2

After going on Thursday night Deb invited us to go on Saturday with her and the girls. Peyton still was amazed the second time around and loved it and luckily Caleb was in Colorado doing MAN things with his Dad (hunting) so he didn't have to go again. Then we took the kids to Chick Fil A and they played for like 1 1/2 hours so that Deb and I could chat.

All the Princess's and the prince
Nick looks so thrilled to be getting his picture taken.

DISNEY ON ICE

We went to Disney on Ice while they were in town. Caleb wasn't so down with going but I made him. Stefanie had some extra tickets and was nice enough to call me and we had enough for Laurie and the kids to come so we made it one big date. It was a really cute show and all the kids were great!!

To keep Caleb happy I told him I would buy him a treat. When he picked cotton candy I was happy thought cool $3.00-$4.00. Nope try freaking $12.00 but the man informed me that I get a really cool hat...gee thanks!! Caleb modeling the "cool hat"

Love this picture of Jamo!!

"The Magic of the Moment"

Caleb decided this year he wanted to enter the reflections contest the theme was " The Magic of the Moment". I had all these grand ideas but Caleb came up with this one all on his own. I loved watching his creativity come out and teaching me patience. All I wanted to do was grab the marker from him and teach him the "correct" way to color. I was proud of him and will for sure make my kids do this every year now.
 Caleb with his Masterpiece.
They had to write a short paragraph explaining his picture his said,
"It's always been a mystery whats at the end of a rainbow. Until one day a pot of gold was discovered and the magic of the moment happened. To find a pot of gold is truly magical.
They all received an award plus a box of markers.

HAPPY HALLOWEEN!!

Another year of Halloween has come and gone. I truly get excited to figure out kids costumes, making them, persuaded them in what I think would be cool. I think after Peyton changing her mind 100 times we ended on Little Red Riding Hood and Caleb started with a Slurpee then wanted to be a football player but with the talk from me how EVERYONE is a football player and lets be something cool and different he went back to his usual plan. I don't have to many more years of "helping" them decide their costumes.
We had a glow in the dark dinner. Which consisted of white chocolate coffins, yummy soup, orange rolls, glow in the dark jello and glow in the dark drinks.
Inside I put a fake skeleton that popped up when they opened them with a little note.

 Slurpee man, and Little Red
I just get a kick out of his costume
 So beautiful

After dinner the kids headed over to the Tuellers and we were on our way. Deb and I walked around with them for a while then we made Bob and Quinn finishing taking them. We came home full of candy and then the sneaky Mom I am I talked them into letting me buy back their candy for $5.00. They were happy to do so (I did let them pick out 10 of their favorite) then we got rid of the rest. 1st my kids don't need more sugar and 2nd then I would not be tempted to eat it all day:)
