CABIN TIME

Over Labor day we headed up to the cabin and luckily all the Burt's were going to be at theirs so we tagged along and acted like we were one of them:) So much fun between BBQ, razor rides, Smores and celebrating Wendell's Birthday.
 Fire not starting....
Just throw some "Magic" on it and boom you will get a fire

GO SILVERWOLVES

Oh Football I have a love hate for this sport. I love, love, love watching football on T.V. I'm not quite sure how I feel about watching my son play it. Not that I'm scared of him getting hurt. I'm tired of watching these 8-9 year olds be treated like they are a NFL team...listen up folks 99.9 % of your sons will not make it to the NFL. Since when did sports become so intense? Let these cute boys play, have fun, learn the value of friendships and hard work but really chill out if they miss a tackle. I would like to see these parents out there making tackles and taking hits. Don't get me wrong a WIN is GREAT but for a kid who truly just loves playing Football and might not be the best. Don't put him down to bring yourself up. It's not just Caleb getting yelled at (so I'm not some crazy Mom trying to protect her cub) it's everywhere you turn. Let's sit back enjoy the game and teach these kids. The one bonus of Football is Caleb has changed soooo much. His attitude, desire to work hard, eating better, exercising. I just truly love this kid and don't want him to feel like he let us down by not getting the hardest hit.  In the end I love Football and hope Caleb will continue with it.
Sorry just had to get that off my chest...now breathe and I feel better:)
 Just a little size difference
Proud Mom moment Caleb got the first interception of the season so he got to lead them out of the pack after half time.

At least we have a cute cheerleader
and a really cute stick mover (I know that's not what they are called)

NEXT BEST THING TO LAKE POWELL

Since Lake Powell was out of the question because of Football for Caleb. Quinn's Dad took us up to Deer Creek for the night and then out to Brick Oven.
These two cuties sure love each other

Caleb couldn't stay on the tube very often...this kid needs to put some weight on him!!

2nd TOOTH OUT

Miss P lost her 2nd tooth...finally. All of her friends are losing their front teeth so she was pretty happy to finally lose that 2nd tooth.

BEST HUSBAND AWARD

Quinn informed me that he had a "surprise" for my Birthday. All he said was "I needed a babysitter" and that was it. So I got the babysitter and we were on our way to the airport...still not knowing where we were going. When I saw Minnesota on the tickets I was still confused until it hit me, MALL OF AMERICA was there!!! So my awesome husband planned for us to hit the mall for 2 days straight...without a single word out of his mouth about wanting to be done, and that he did. He was so good. We literally walked 13 hours the first day and about 10 the next day. That mall is so ridiculous you really could spend a week there seeing everything. Screw Disneyland I will take the kids to the amusement park inside the mall instead...no lines and really fun rides.
 One of the many rides
  Mirror maze.
Quinn begged me to do this and I thought this will be so dumb. Boy I was so wrong it was seriously such a blast.

Birthday dinner with a large slice of HEAVEN
We rode a log ride and you can tell who was the wuss in this case. Quinn was hiding behind me so he didn't get wet.

We didn't get home until 11:30 at night but Peyton was so excited to sing "Happy Birthday" to me so they stayed up until we got home.
The cake Peyton made for me.
Thanks to my Mom and Kelly for coming up and watching the kids!!

BIRTHDAY DINNER

I have the greatest friends a girl could ask for. They put together a dinner with some close friends and spoiled me way too much.
Andrea's Birthday was the next week so I made her get on the saddle with me. I HATE attention and so that helped ease the scariness of the situation:)

Thanks for such a great night!!

First day of 4th and 1st

First day of School...boo!! I was really dreading this year because Miss P would be gone all day. Caleb is the kind of kid that School is good for him. He always needs to be doing something, always is "bored" so School for him is great and Mom because there is only so much stuff we can do to keep this kid happy. Peyton on the other hand is soooo content just chilling at home and playing on her own. No joke she will play for hours in her room and I'm the one begging her "to play with me because I'm bored" She's been my side kick for the last 6 years and to loose that has been a MAJOR adjustment for me. I hate sitting at my house in silence...so I usually have my music blaring so the quietness will keep me from dwelling on my loneliness. I just really wasn't ready to send either of them though. We had a fun Summer and seemed to keep pretty busy and still had much more we wanted to do. So with that said neither of my kids listen to me and grew up and continue to move a grade every year...how?? Peyton was very excited to eat lunch at School and continues to love it. I haven't heard much complaining on Caleb's end either though..both got great teachers. For me I'm just trying to keep busy and count down the hours/min until my kids get home so I can feel helpful again.

Umm are you kidding me with her pose...maybe modeling should be in her future!!

Peyton went one day later then Caleb so that's why he has different clothes on.

So blessed with these two in my life
