PARTY TIME!!

Hailey had her 9th Birthday and she wanted a Carnival themed party so that's what we rolled with. Laurie freaking rocked it on the party decorations and I was just glad my kids got the benefit of her hard work (when we thought P had chicken pox she was DEVASTATED she was going to have to miss this party). It was like you truly were at the carnival from the face painter, fortune teller, fishing pond and all the other games. After each game they received tickets and could go buy all kinds of prizes from the prize table.

CHICKEN POX???

On Sunday morning as we were getting ready to leave St. George I find 100's of red ants in the room we were staying in. I start to vacuum and clean them up, all while being bit by them. I then go into the kitchen and P is complaining of itching on her neck. I look and she had maybe 20 dots on her neck. I assumed she had been bitten by these dumb red ants as well. So we get ready to head out the door and start the drive home. The whole way home she complains of her ear hurting and her throat felt like she was going to throw up. We get home and I pull up her shirt and she is covered in them all over her back and stomach. We went a couple of hours and then decide I should take her into an Instacare just to check since I didn't know if I should send her to School the next morning. They confirm that she has chicken pox and that she needs to be quarantined. They said it will be a long night and starting tomorrow it's going to get a whole lot worse. The Doc says to "load up on Popsicles, yogurts, smoothies, crafts and movies" so that's just what I did. Well roll around Monday morning P is happy as a clam, no complaints about itching, so we hang out all day on Monday. Tuesday same thing happy, no itching but they said by then she will be itching so bad, fevers and the spots will start scabbing, well that never happened. So Tuesday I decide to take her into my doctor they say mostly likely chicken pox but there's also a thing called Hot tub Facilitates (?) It's a bacteria that causes a rash with a white head on them. They don't itch and will go away within 5-7 days. (Saturday night P got into my Mom's hot tub). The doctor said by Wednesday if they still have not scabbed over then it's definitely the Hot Tub and that she is not contagious and the rash will fade and sure enough each day they faded and now are all gone. It was sure fun to have my girl back with me for 4 days straight but I was also excited to get her back to School and she was excited to get to play with friends again.

It was cute on Monday Caleb gets off the bus carrying this big heart. All of Peyton's classmates signed this heart and told her to get well soon!!

TUACHAN

We had our annual girls trip to St. George to go see Aladdin and Hairspray. Luckily the last two years they have done Disney plays so Miss P has been lucky enough to join us thanks to Grandma B. It was a fun trip to say the least and P enjoyed the show sooo much and was an absolute angel. 

 All ready to head to the show with Miss Jasmine and Mini Jasmine all buckled up for safety.

 Sooo excited for the show to begin. Her face was priceless at times and she wouldn't stop talking in amazement over the things they were doing. "Like the magic carpet flying, the 3D effects to make it look like Aladdin was in the cave, how beautiful Jasmine was, how funny genie was, where's Abu, where's Raja the tiger." Next year I am going to make one of my sisters sit by her so I can actually listen to the play:)

The next night we left Miss P home with Dad and went to Hairspray but I almost wish I would have brought her because she would have loved all the dancing and singing.

My family was also nice enough and threw me a little get together up at my sister Lindsey's house for my Birthday!!

LAKE POWELL

Another season of Lake Powell has come and gone, it has to be the best place on earth to boat!!

Kids can't wait to go but wish it wasn't so far away.

 This little dude decided to rock at knee boarding and successfully did 7-360's in a row and also managed to go in and out of the wake with no problem.

 We decided to pull out all the tubes and let me tell you it was a BLAST. I have never seen Caleb and Tate laugh so much.

  We got Ellie in the boat and I made Zach switch me tubes. It was hilarious because Quinn and Zach would be flying so fast that when they bumped into us they would fly off.

All while me and the kids are perfectly happy on the big tube.

 Caleb also decided to water ski ALL by himself and he landed it on the very first try. He had a hard time keeping his ski's together and skied pretty much spread apart the whole time.

GARTH BROOKS!!

So for my Birthday Quinn surprised me and bought me Garth Brooks tickets down in Vegas. We flew down on Friday morning and my sweet husband took me shopping ALL day. Not his ideal day at all, his would have been sitting by the pool sipping a drink. Mine...trying to hit all the latest and greatest sales!! Then we went to a yummy steak dinner and then headed to the concert. To say it was AMAZING was an understatement. It's literally him and his guitar with story after story. You walk away feeling like he is your new best friend and that he was speaking to you personally. He is a stickler on pictures and NO pictures are aloud and if you get caught taking one then they boot you out the door and with that ticket price I was more then happy to do what Garth says!! Then we woke up the next morning at 9:00 yes 9:00 in the morning to no kids saying "I'm hungry" just a wife saying that. Grabbed some breakfast hit the gym then hopped back on the flight to head home to our kiddos. Thanks to Deb and Laurie for watching our kids!!

On a side note: The concert was at the Wynn Hotel and come to find out later, that was where Prince Harry was staying and where he had a LITTLE to much fun with the camera...dang if only I could have seen him (just him...not the pictures)!!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY...TO ME!!

I had another great and successful Birthday, even though I turned the big...30 this year it just felt like another Birthday but I sure was pretty spoiled by all!!

 The best friends a girl could ask for.

My awesome and great friend Deb threw a little get together for me with some girls in the 

neighborhood, well including Laurie but she pretty much is one of us!! They took me out to dinner at Blue Lemon and then went and got me so yummy yogurt. I told Quinn I would be home within 2 hours (which would put me home around 9:00) but we all got talking and when we looked at the clock it was 11:30...whoops. Time flies when you are having FUN!!
