SKIING

We finally were able to use our ski passes this year. Not the best snow but since we were taking Peyton for the first time and I was going up for the first time since my knee surgery we figured we weren't going to be going in the back woods looking for fresh powder!! We were so nervous about Peyton but she took it like a charm and LOVED every second of it. She was yelling at us to let her go because she wanted to go faster!! That was until the final run Quinn let her go and she was flying down the mountain heading straight for the lift. Quinn speed up and tried to cut her off and save her from flying into all the netting. Well Quinn made her go down and then Quinn ended up flying into all the netting taking it all down with him. Thee funnest thing I have EVER seen just so you know!! She's bawling, Quinn's caught up in all the orange netting, and the ski lift guy is running down to help Quinn and wanting to know if she was hurt because of how loud she was screaming. We proceeded to let him know that is how loud she is even when she really isn't hurt. We get all untangled and settled down and Quinn was explaining to her why he had to do that to her and her response was "you ruined my skiing" So we knew we had to end on a high note so we headed up one more time and then all was good!! She says she can't wait to ski everyday of her life. Caleb picked it back up like a true pro and was a good sport hanging out on the bunny hill while we taught Peyton!!
Getting all suited up and ready to go down for her first time

5..4..3..2..1..HAPPY NEW YEARS!!

We had a laid back New Year's we went out to dinner came home played some Minute to Win it games. You received play money for the games and once everything was over I had a whole bunch of dumb little prizes that they could exchange their money for. We let the kids stay up until 10:00 showed them the ball dropping on the news which they had no idea they didn't make it until midnight. They then set up the blow-up bed in the living room and had a sleepover in there. Then Quinn and I headed to bed only to be woken up by those annoying neighbors who set off the fireworks at midnight:) J/K I only wish my old body could stay up that late!!

Caleb knocking over his cups with his "trunk"
Peyton knocking over her cups with her "trunk"
*Please don't mind Peyton's outfit she is into picking her own PJ's at night and this is the beauty she came up with. Sad to say this is calm compared to some nights!!
They had to blow the cups across the counter
One of the games was where I wrapped this $5 dollar like 40 different times and Peyton was the lucky winner!!
Happy 2012 glasses
Glow sticks were one of the prizes which they ended up making all kinds of things out of.
Caleb told me they are dancing like aliens
I was thinking silly string would be fun to spray outside. Well Quinn had the brilliant idea to let them do it inside. It was the biggest MESS but the kids thought it was the COOLEST thing ever!!
Peyton all covered
The aftermath of the string
Goodnight and sleep tight
Here's to a HAPPY 2012!!

MERRY CHRISTMAS!!

Christmas morning was a great morning. We woke up to two kids eager to go at 6:45, we at least made them wait until 7:00. We opened stockings and all the goods. Then G&G came over and then Grandpa Doug stopped by. We were able to hang out for a while before we headed up to Quinn's parents house!!
All ready for Christmas Morning!!
Santa Came to our house
Just waking up and heading to the stockings first.
I know it's weird with only some presents wrapped. I grew up that Santa wrapped all your presents Quinn grew up that Santa did not wrap. So you can see who won that one!!
G&G with the present the kids were giving them. We put together a book of all the fun things we have done with them.

Peyton with her loot
Grandpa Doug loaded Caleb up on Green Bay stuff
Caleb and Peyton in their new jerseys.
Funny story Caleb wanted a Jennings and Matthew jersey so I bought both online when Caleb went to open up the Matthew's jersey it was all glittered and tiny on him. I somehow ended with a size 6 girl jersey. So Caleb was nice and gave it to his sister and I took him to Fanzz later that week and let him pick another thing.
Go Packers
Then we ended the day up at Quinn's parents house and this describes how tired our little girl is, she NEVER takes a nap!!

We celebrated Christmas Eve at our house with Quinn's family.
We:
DECORATED COOKIES
All the kids decorated cookies for Santa

OPENED JAMMIES
Peyton and Caleb in their jammies
I bought Caleb different ones and when he opened them he asked "if he could go put on last years jammies." I guess he didn't like his new ones:)
All the cousins (minus 4) in their new jammies
Attempting a human pyramid

LOOKED AT CHRISTMAS LIGHTS
We then all 15 of us, yes 15 loaded up into Quinn's Dads 15 passenger work van and drove around and looked at Christmas lights.
I made all the kids Polar Express tickets with a jingle bell and some popcorn.

GAVE THOSE 8 REINDEER SOME FOOD
Then we got home just in time to go sprinkle reindeer food all over our yard.

PARTY TIME!!

We had a little Christmas Party with the George's this year. We headed up to their house and had a yummy dinner. Then we exchanged presents, then we went and helped a family in need before the Holidays. It was truly one of the coolest experiences I have had and I know it really opened my kids eyes on how lucky they truly are, these kids were only asking for food!! We hid out forever making sure they got everything and as we were driving away Caleb said "I feel all warm inside" that sums up are night. Thanks to Ben and Laurie helping out and I can't wait to help another family in need next year!!

All waiting to open their presents
Caleb opening his present
Peyton opening hers
We gave this sweet get up to Ben for his gift. No joke we walked around Cabela's one day for like an hour just searching for the "perfect" gift for Ben. I know if he didn't like it the kids certainly did. Chase pretty much claimed it as his.
Caleb, Chase and Peyton playing in the blind

HIDING OUT
We wanted to see their faces when they opened the door so we hid across the street behind some garbage cans.

ZOO LIGHTS!!

We went to Brick Oven Pizza and then headed up to the Zoo Lights with Ben and Laurie and the kiddos, of course. This was the first time going to the lights they were fun but it was sooo stinking cold the night we went so of course we were trying to hurry through them.
The gang, so excited to get one last picture before we left!!
