REALLY 1st GRADE!

So it's official he is growing up and there is nothing I can do!! My little buddy just started 1st grade, we put him in the public school this year because he wanted to be with all his buddies and frankly Mom was tired of driving him 20 min there and back and the monthly payments are nice to lose as well. He has loved every second of it and he is sooo excited to ride the bus. That could have been the scariest thing I have ever done putting your little boy on the bus and hoping they will return him to you. Luckily he made it home and meet some new friends and loves his teacher!!

HAPPY 24TH OF JULY!!

We had a fun little 24th of July we went to the Bountiful Parade with our friends, did the awesome carnival after, and then went to Muller Park to watch the fireworks!! We live in an amazing country and I am so thankful for all the men and women who fight for our country!! Thank you all!!

Waiting for the good stuff to be thrown out, I think we managed to come home with about 5,000 salt water taffys. Although we were sitting here first and then it just so happened that we ended up having about 10 kids right in front of our kids and then of course stealing all the candy from them. So the mean Mom in me came out and went fighting for the kids to get some candy! We scored I got 3 free kids meals for Texas Roadhouse!! So kids stay in your own designated spots and there will not be a problem!!

Every time I have the camera out Peyton always makes sure I take a picture of just her and then has to inspect it after. Can we call her conceded yet?

Don't call it a tattoo to him though. They were painting faces and so I asked him if he wanted one and he was like "well are they considered a tattoo because I don't want my Grandma and Grandpa (quinn's parents) mad at me!" It was to funny so it is just a painting of a shark!!

CHERRY HILL!!

With Caleb starting school soon we decided to do one last family vacation, so we took our trailer up to Cherry Hill and spent the night. We got there and it was (I swear) like 40 MPH winds and pitch black sky's but we braved it and got in the water and 5 min. into us swimming they booted everyone out due to lighting. So we went back to the trailer and chilled for about 45 min and then headed back out and the rest of the day was nice. Then we had some yummy dinner and ice cream and then went mini golfing. While we were there Quinn's cousin was there with her family so the kids played at the park all night with their glow sticks then we came back to the trailer and watched a movie and then went to bed. It was a fun little getaway for us!!

This was during the time we got kicked out and it was an absolute downpour for about a min so we had to take cover!!

POOL PARTY!!

We had our annual pool party this year!! We invited all our friends and had a blast. We bought one of those above ground pools so that was a big hit this time. It was a lot of fun and we look forward to next year.

LAKE POWELL

I struggle at the order of the pictures!! We went to Lake Powell again in July and boy it was a total different trip this time we actually had a daughter who enjoyed herself, she is really taking to the water and I love that!! Poor little Caleb on the last day of the trip got sick so that made for a fun ride home!!

TOOTHLESS!!

He finally did it, he lost his first tooth!!! All of his friends have lost some and then so all he wanted to do was lose one. Earlier that day I knew if he would let me yank it, it would come out but every time I got close he would get scared. So that night we had our friends Ben and Laurie over and Ben was like "cool let me see" and then with flick of his hands out popped his tooth. So that night the tooth fairy came too visit him. At around 3:00 A.M. I am awoken by him telling me the tooth fairy came I say "cool and go back to sleep." Then around 6:00 I am awaken again to him telling me he cant believe he got $1.00 from the tooth fairy I say, "cool and go back to sleep. " 20 min later there he is again telling me that it wasn't just $1.00 it was $2.00 I say cool and by this time sleep is obviously not an option for the kid so I tell him to go to the couch and watch some T.V. while I go back to sleep!! So needless to say he was VERY excited and he already has another lose one so he is telling me to call Ben to come and get it out, so Ben it looks like you will be pulling all his teeth!!

4TH OF JULY FUN!!

For the 4th of July we went up to Quinn's sisters husbands parent's cabin (wow does that make sense). It was so much fun and a nice little getaway from the every day world. My little brother had come up earlier that week (can I just tell you how nice that was it was like having a live-in-nanny, I could get use to that) so we took him up there as well. We hiked, cooked some BBQ and then went fishing!! Afterwards my CRAZY husband had my little brother who is 15 and only has a drivers permit drive him up to Evanston to buy some fireworks, I think Quinn said he almost died multiple times. Then we had my whole family for a BBQ and fireworks I tried taking pictures but my dumb camera batteries died!!
